【劇情介紹】
5歲的宗介從小就生長在海邊小城上，他的家就在臨海的懸崖上。有一天，宗介撿到了一個被海浪沖上岸的空瓶子，在裡面有一條被卡住頭的小金魚。原來這只小金魚就是人魚女王的女兒波尼。原本是偷偷駕著水母溜出來玩的波尼，結果卻被瓶子卡住了她那大大的頭。於是宗介把波尼從瓶子裡解救出來，並把她帶回了自己家，養在塑料盆裡。波尼在宗介家過得很愉快，她很喜歡宗介，宗介也喜歡她。然而，快樂的日子很快就過去了，波尼的爸爸籐本把女兒帶回了海底。
波尼回家後，十分思念宗介，她做出了一個大膽的決定——她要變成人，她希望自己能變成像宗介那樣的人。在妹妹們的幫助下，波尼偷出了父親的魔法，向人類世界游去。不料，蘊含著危險魔力的生命之水失控了。於是，海水暴漲，暴風狂作，妹妹們變成了可怕的巨型魚，海浪向宗介一家所在的懸崖撲去……
