【故事簡介】
公元2012年，ＭＵ族在東京降下，當時的駐日美軍和日本自衛隊聯合對其進行進攻並在後期使用了戰術核武器，結果是慘敗，ＭＵ族使用TOKYO JUPITER割斷了東京與外界的一切聯系，地球上的國家組成了地球聯合軍與之對抗，但是在初期受到了ＭＵ的人形兵器的毀滅性打擊，在ＴＥＲＲＡ成立之後，由於對ＭＵ的研究深入和科技發展，雙方一度處於膠著狀態，直到２０２７年，在ＴＥＲＲＡ組織的一次名為OVERLORD的滲入行動後神名绫人駕駛著RAHXEPHON投向地球聯合陣線，才使這一切有所改變，舊世界毀滅新世界誕生的樂章就此開始演奏。
【單曲、專輯介紹】
RahXephon O.S.T. 2 is the second soundtrack album from the anime series RahXephon. All music and lyrics are by Ichiko Hashimoto and performed by her. She is again joined by her sister Mayumi Hashimoto on the song "Yume no Tamago (Egg of the Dream)". Houko Kuwashima, the voice of Quon, also sings on this album.
Hashimoto described this as "more organic" than the first soundtrack, and it contains some music that was recorded after the series had begun airing.
The theme of "La, la Maladie du Sommeil" is from Polovetsian Dances. This track is featured on the album Junsyoku Brilliant (緋色brilliant?) (VICL-61796).

Ichiko Hashimoto (橋本 一子 Hashimoto Ichiko?, born July 1, 1952 in Kobe, Japan) is a jazz pianist, composer and singer. She has also acted in television and film.
Hashimoto was born in Kobe, grew up in Tokyo and started playing the piano at the age of five. She attended Musashino Academia Musicae, where she graduated in 1975.
Ichiko sometimes performs with her sister Mayumi Hashimoto (橋本 まゆみ Hashimoto Mayumi?)
